Hi, I’m Dr Judith, and I’m one of the principal dentists here at Elevate Dental. Yesterday I was speaking with one of my patients, Emily from Hawthorn East during her Smile Consultation, who is interested in having veneers to cover some teeth that she didn’t like at the front and wanted to know how much they would cost. So I thought I’d make a video to share my thoughts.
Typically, porcelain and ceramic dental veneers can range from 1.5-2.5k each. Now you might be asking yourself, what are the factors that can impact the final price? Well, here’s what goes into it.
Smile Design Process
Creating a veneer that looks natural and beautiful, that fits with your smile requires a lot of experience and a lot of planning and design in order to create something that looks flawless for you. It’s a very personalised experience and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We work with you to create something that you’re proud of. The amount of time that has been budgeted and invested for your smile design process, and the experience of the dentist will impact the overall price.
Handcrafting Your Veneers
When you finish creating a smile, you don’t want observers to look at and go, “Hmm, something’s been done.” You want people to look at a smile and go, “Wow, she has, or he has a beautiful smile.” That’s the result we’re going for. This takes a lot of planning and a lot of understanding of what a natural, beautiful smile looks like, and it takes time to develop and master this craftsmanship. So the more skillful ceramicists will charge more for the veneers than the more junior ceramicists. Here at Elevate Dental, we only work with some of Melbourne’s most distinguished ceramicists to create some of the most beautiful, natural-looking smiles.
High-quality Materials Used in Creating the Veneers
Number three, much of the cost of porcelain veneers is actually to cover the high-quality materials used in creating the veneers. Each veneer typically takes many, many hours of handcrafting, from the time we prepare the teeth, to working with the master ceramicists who create the actual veneers, to the bonding process where we place the veneers. It’s actually a very delicate and time-consuming procedure in order to make sure that not only do the veneers look amazing, but that they will last a long, long time.
I hope this video helps you to have a greater understanding of the different factors that impact the price of a porcelain veneers smile makeover. If you are considering upgrading your smile with dental veneers, we would love to look after you.
